About PHYLLIS REIN
Phyllis Rein is delighted to present her company: Footwear Show New York Expo, LLC (FSNYE). This is the culmination of Phyllis’ greater than 30 years of experience in the fashion industry. Phyllis began her career as a sales manager at the retail chain CIGNAL, an upscale, high-end luxury apparel store in Great Neck, New York. Thereafter she was hired as an Associate Buyer for The Fur Vault, Northern Lights division for Bloomingdale's, personally picked by the CEO, Mr. Fred Schwartz “Fred the Furrier”. As the buying season ended, she transitioned to Sales Associate in the Fur Vault, Garden City Flagship Store. Phyllis's dedication and overall sales and service, exceeded all the store branches, awarding her, the prestigious title, “Million Dollar Baby”. She was honored to receive the new role of Sales and Merchandise Manager.
In 1989, Phyllis transitioned to the Fashion Footwear Industry when Mr. Dick Jacobson, its President & CEO offered her a position at the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) organization. She was initially hired as an Account Executive and swiftly moved up the ranks and was promoted to Executive Vice President by the Board of Directors. Phyllis not only spearheaded the association’s showcases, but she was also intimately involved in its philanthropic charitable endeavors, “FFANY Shoes on Sale”. In 2014 she was awarded the prestigious Recognition of Outstanding Commitment and Dedication Award by FFANY and the Fashion Footwear Industry.
In 2019, Phyllis established Footwear Show New York Expo (FSNYE), a recognized management company that produces hotel shoe shows during the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) Market Weeks. FSNYE’s mission is to foster, support and preserve the footprint and the vibe of the shoe shows in New York City. FSNYE organizes and produces a networking marketplace for buyers and sellers in the fashion sector by supporting the needs of the community. Showcasing the latest trends in footwear and handbags, under one roof, making it efficient, safe, and easy to do business in
New York City.
